Drawings deemed “as-built” are thus drawings that show the existing conditions as they are — these are the actual existing conditions as opposed to designs or proposed conditions, which are more common for the content of drawings.

Now that you have built your models with every detail joints and connections, you are required to re-draw your models as is they were built. For Project 2c, you need to prepare one perspective drawing (two-point perspective) of your models.

Your drawing need to be drawn to the most clearest and detail way, showing all joints and components as they appear. You are required to render and/ or color your drawing to give the clearest impression of your design. Study the materials that you used and draw them to the most detail. Please also include shadow to your drawing to give the impression of depth and to show the spatial qualities of your design.

Please prepare A2 papers, sharp pencils of various types, color pencils, drawing pens and other drawing instruments. Your drawing must be drawn at the scale of 1:1 or 1:2. Please also give dimensions, specifications and important notations to communicate your design through the drawing.

Submission for Project 2b – Joints is on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 12 noon sharp. Project 2c will start at 1.30 pm and submission is on the same day at 4.30 pm. The exercise will continue with Project 2c – As-built Drawing 2.
